Zakes Batwini heads Mxit Music Studio app

Mxit has proudly rolled out a new campaign through their Mxit Music Studio App that’s set to showcase SA’s biggest music stars. The line-up includes Goodluck, iFani, Khuli Chana, Euphonik, The Kiffness, AKA, Liquideep, Toya DeLazy, Mafikizolo and is fronted by Zakes Bantwini, head of A&R at Sony Music Africa and house music master.

The Mxit Music Studio App will give artists a unique opportunity to engage with new and existing fans via Mxit. When asked to comment Zakes said: “The whole reason that we make music is to share it. The Mxit Music Studio is a great platform for SA artists to share their music and interact with their fans.”
The news follows the announcement of Mxit’s new product features across key operating systems last week, and encourages people to move to the new Mxit.
Mxit Marketing and Communications Manager, Ben-Carl Havemann has said: “We are a proudly South African success story, and want to share the best local music talent with young people on the move. We have developed a Music Studio app on Mxit where we will be giving away more than 40 000 song downloads over the next 10 weeks”.
